This piece is a wire sculpture that was inspired by the creations of Vannoy “Wireman” Streeter who created folk art out of wire . Wireman was born and raised about thirty minutes from my hometown, so in honor to him we got am assignment to create a piece inspired by him. I chose to do a person out of wire, because most of Wireman’s pieces depict people doing various things in different poses. I personalized this subject by making a multidirectional human torso instead of twisting the bodies out of wire in the same manor I created the arms.
